Los Angeles based Wildcat Wildcat has been getting a lot of buzz lately and there is good reason. Made up of keys, base and drums, harmonized falsettos, they bring a fun sound that leaves you wanting more.
Wildcat Wildcat is a band not to miss out at SXSW if you’ll be there. They’re playing Filter Magazine’s Cedar Street Showdown and a few other shows. Below are some shots from a recent show Wildcat Wildcat played with a video below:

Filter Magazine has, over the past few years, been putting together some of the best showcases at SXSW. This year, the Filter magazine SXSW lineup is sooo good.
Bands to look out for at the Filter Showcases are Local Natives, Wildcat Wildcat, Surfer Blood, Shout Out Louds, Toro Y Moi, Fits and the Tantrums, Frightened Rabbit, Poolside, and so many more. Going to be a blast!
Gary Clark Jr. has been getting raves. They were a hit out at SXSW, and killed it at Coachella. A band to continue watching. Here’s their song Bright Lights live from Coachella 2012:
We at The Noise Train, can’t stop listening to Middle Brother. Here’s a fun video of how the band came to be with plenty of live performances from their SXSW 2011 trip. Enjoy!

Here’s a little video of Lissie playing an intimate show at SXSW last year shot by Braedon Flynn. Her new stuff is amazing. Such raw passion and emotion as she sings with her beautiful and raspy voice. Take a look:
Out of love for Local Natives, I wanted to post a video shot of one of their performances at SXSW 2010 on the KCRW stage. Love this. Shot by Braedon Flynn
