As you may already know, we like to party here at the Noisetrain. In the spirit of the weekend, we wanna hook you guys up with a few banging electro tracks to help get the weekend started by one of our favorite DJ’s gone producer, Scott Thomas.
What may have started out as a hobby for making bedroom beats to spin at house parties has rapidly morphed into some serious electro house that’s sure to get everybody moving. Thomas’ bootlegs have no limits and range from artists such as Zedd to Knife Party to Coldplay, but still maintain the heart-pounding bass, elctro syths, and dirty Dutch tempos any party-goer looks for in a good time. Madeon recently premiered his newest track The City featuring Zak Waters on vocals, on BBC Radio1 a couple of weeks ago, and yesterday he posted the official music video. While the video itself shows a ton of twentysomethings having the time of their lives in some freedom-frighter-esk powder paint battle, this is one of our favorite songs we have heard in 2012. Madeon personally said that this is his best work thus far and his favorite track to date. While it’s great to hear of producers really proud of their work and constantly pushing themselves to better their production, it’s even better for the fans like us that know the sky is the limit for Madeon and we can’t wait to see what else he has in the works.
Sander Van Doorn & Julian Jordan have finally released their highly anticipated collaboration, Kangaroo, and long story short, they did not disappointing. Their hard pounding electro break fused with housey beat formed the perfect match for a huge party tune. Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think!
The team at MusicRadar recently sat down for an interview with Feed Me, also know as John Gooch when not behind the 18 foot grin, and he gave an in depth view of his Teeth Tour from conception to touring the world. We were fortunate enough to catch Feed Me’s performance at the Music Box in Hollywood this year, and watching this interview gives a whole new meaning to the spellbinding performance.
Now looking towards the future, here’s a little something new Feed Me has forthcoming on Mau5trap. Annie Mac on BBC Radio1 debuted his latest track, Little Cat Steps, on August 17th, and this proves Feed Me is showing no signs of slowing down his production.
A little side note to the production of this new track, but Gooch not only produces the music behind the Feed Me persona, but he designed all of artwork for his album covers as well as the artwork for this track. He was working professionally as graphic designer before taking music originally as a dnb producer, Spor, and his latest electronic productions as Feed Me.
That said, we are absolutely pumped for his new music and we hope you dig it too!
I recently stumbled upon this video and it was too bat shit crazy not to post. I’m a huge house, break beat, and nu disco fan, and I can’t believe that these guys have never popped up on my radar. These Southern California natives live right in our backyard and I’m hoping I can catch them soon.
This wild and crazy, seizure-inducing video is a perfect fit for their up beat, glitchy house sounds and it’s guaranteed to get you moving! The colors and quick edits caught my attention immediately and I’m betting big bucks you’ll dig it too! Let us know what you think!
German DJ, songwriter and producer Zedd is set to release his upcoming album, Clarity, on October 9th through Interscope Records. Here, you can check out the video for “Spectrum,” featuring Matthew Koma. Video is fun, poppy and will make you dance! Enjoy!!
2012 is going to be the year of Knife Party. Bold statement, I know. But given EDM’s massive surge in popularity, EDM and nonEDM fans alike are partying and listening to more producers/djs who are stepping out of the progressive house and big room scene. 2011 was the year of Skrillex and I’m predicting all eyes are going to be on these guys and their fresh sound.
Chances are that you have probably heard of this duo recently assembled of two members from the band Pendulum, Rob Swire (@Rob_Swire) and Gareth McGrillen (@GarethPendulum), and they have been tearing up every EDM festival across Europe and North America. They dabble in everything from electro-house, dubstep, drum and bass, drumstep and whatever clever subgenre names people come up with. McGrillen and Swire and huge advocates of using different sounds/tempos to help push the ever-expanding genre of bass music and they are the tippy-top of EDM acts to party to this summer.
Their new EP has missed a couple of deadlines with Knife Party constantly on the road but it will be out early this summer. Their last EP titled 100% No Modern Talking is a free download on their website that comprised of tracks such as Tourniquet and Fire Hive. They have also remixed tracks ranging from hip-hop producer Labrinth, to Swedish House Mafia, Porter Robinson, and Nero.
If waiting for their new EP is as agonizing for you as it is for me, they just released a completely twisted and demented video that might hold you over. Viewer discretion is advised!

We had a busy weekend with St. Paddy’s day and tons of different bands playing all over Los Angeles, but we couldn’t wait to shoot photos of Feed Me during his North American Teeth Tour.
We knew that when Feed Me‘s live set was not to be missed when he played at the Music Box in Hollywood this weekend and we were right. I have to admit, we were a little biased going into the show because Feed Me‘s Big Adventure was in our top five EDM albums of last year, but this show exceeded all expectations. The “teeth” stage design is one of the most impressive and unique LED creations we’ve seen to date, and Feed Me’s set was just as jaw dropping.
The crowd was raving hard with the pulsating and synchronized lights of the teeth, and everyone who was sure to leave all smiles.

I’m a little late in posting my photos from when Nero played in Hollywood on December 23rd, but better late than never, right? I’d like to start by saying that I have been a huge fan of the UK Bass Music scene for several years now, and I have missed seeing Nero twice in the past. Each missed opportunity was a huge bummer but this show definitely is going down as one of the best performances I’d seen throughout 2011.
At first glance, I was a little disappointed that there was no crazy LED set up on stage. I brought the camera gear and I wanted to shoot something aesthetically pleasing given the fact that the Music Box is one of the best EDM venues in Southern California. But this night was all about the bass and music enthusiasts that came to rave and love the nightlife. I took a step back only to notice that other producers/artists such as Skrillex, 12th Planet, Ellie Golding, and Dillon Francis were all on stage to catch some of the best DJing Europe has to offer.
The sound was huge and the supporting sets by Da Moth and Alvin Risk could have been headlining sets in their own right. It was an amazing night and we can’t wait to catch all three acts next time they show up to party!
Tis the season where we take a brief moment to reflect on the songs that were the anthems of our playlists, the albums that served as the sounds tracks, and the live performances where we partied our brains out. I’m not going to lie when I say I lost a lot of sleep over this (read as I stayed up until the wee hours replaying to all of these jams at full volume) and I hope that these songs/albums/videos did the same for you!
And Finally, in the spirit of the holidays, I wanted to leave you with one of the coolest holiday light shows I’ve ever seen. This guy had the balls to risk scaring the crap out of all of his neighbors by syncing a ridiculous light show to Skrillex- First of the Year (Equinox).
