Breathe Owl Breathe
We recently were able to catch Breathe Owl Breathe as they opened for Laura Gibson at The Echo on February 8. They’re on tour promoting both a children’s book and a 7-inch EP titled The Listeners/These Train Tracks. The trio consists of Micah Middaugh, Trevor Hobbs, and Andréa Moreno-Beals; the three perform together with high energy and audience participation, often incorporating the audience into their performance through choreographed clapping and singing. Each song’s energy off the last, spinning the personal musical material into a crescendo of one part enactment and one part sincerity. We definitely encourage others to witness their stagecraft and genuine pleasure of performance.
